Last Two Days Of Your 2016 Countdown To A Successful New Year…2,1
The new year is almost here. Do you have a plan in place to get you where you want to be by this time next year? Have you accessed where you have been and where you are now? Do you have a plan for what you will be reading in 2016? What do you have set up to watch? Do you have a vision for the new year?
Day 2 – The Habit Of Listening
Successful people communicate their vision passionately. But, the habit that needs to be consciously focused on is listening.
When you listen to what other people have to say you can improve upon what you already know and ideas that you have.
“Listening is the way to gain wisdom because everything you say, you already know.”
To grow your vision and become more successful in achieving your goals in 2016, listen to what other people are saying. Listen to what you are saying to others. And sometimes even most importantly, listen to what is not being said.
Day 1 – The Habit Of Doing
If we desire to move forward in the New Year, we need to be willing to change and grow. If you just continue to do what you did in 2015, don’t expect different results in 2016.
Most people want to change, but the big question is how to do it. If you want a better tomorrow, you need to make better choices today. Tomorrow is a direct result of choices you make today. If you want a different life, you need to become different. This means you need to grow!
What are the new skills you want to develop? What habits do you want to break and which ones would you like to begin? What goals do you want to reach?
Growth is a choice. Commitment is a choice. Daily steps are a choice. If you reach your potential, that is your choice.
Growth is not always easy or painless, but the rewards far outweigh the sacrifices.
If you choose to grow, and commit to taking steps of growth daily, you will be on your way to reaching your potential. If you keep learning and growing every day over the course of many years, you will be astounded by how far it will take you.
One way to track what you are doing and your growth is to write. Write your visions and goals out. Keep track of your growth, the sacrifices, and the successes. Share with others to encourage them, and reflect on your journey throughout the year.
Don't just dream, plan and do! Make 2016 a year of doing specific things to achieve the vision you have seen for your life.

2016 Countdown To Your Successful New Year...5, 4, 3...
We missed a day yesterday so we will hit two today. Day 5 started with Assessing. Day 4 is Reading, and Day 3 is Watching.
Day 4 – The Habit Of Reading
As we discussed earlier, if you are not willing to make changes in your mindset and your actions, your lives will not change. Your success will be dependent on your ability to make changes daily.
We all know that success doesn’t come just by one event or making a decision one time. Success and failure are both a result of daily choices made over time. Change is a process.
Every day we are preparing for something. Are you preparing for the success you want, or for failure?
John Maxwell’s father would tell him, “You can pay now and play later, or you can play now and pay later. But either way, you are going to pay.”
The principle of sowing and reaping is the law that we all must live by. Our future is a direct result to what we sow daily in our lives and into the lives of others.
Successful people make a habit of reading. It helps them continue to grow and gives them food to reflect upon. Reading challenges and inspires, if you pick the right books.
Three things successful people look for in a book
1. It teaches you something new.
2. It is written by someone who is wiser or more knowledgeable than you on that particular subject.
3. It challenges you!
"I’ve often said that experience alone isn’t a good teacher. But evaluated experience is."
- John C. Maxwell
Day 3 – The Habit Of Watching
We all need vision. Without vision you are like a ship at sea with no rudder.
Vision creates energy. When you have a vision, you know you are doing something of value and you become passionate about it.
As we know, a dream is just a dream unless we make a plan to make it a reality. When we do this it becomes a goal. You need that plan, a sound strategy, in order to take action and to share the dream with others.
You must be willing to be accountable for you actions, or lack of them. Evaluate often along the way. This will help you stay laser focused and you won’t get far off course. Evaluating is watching
Watch what you are doing and where you are going and make sure you celebrate the small victories along the way!
Pay attention and watch!
“Great vision preceded great achievement.”
- John Maxwell

2016 Countdown For A Successful New Year
John Maxwell is counting the days down to the New Year. We are going to journey with him and chew on some of his suggestions. He encourages us to implement five habits that will lead to a successful 2016.
Everybody knows that if we want our lives to change, we need to change. Growth is good, but it must be intentional.
Day 5 – The Habit Of Assessing - Take a few minutes and think about what you might like to change in yourself. What bad habits might you want to get rid of or good habits would you like to start forming? Are there any skills you want to acquire? Any goal you would like to achieve?
Often the problem is not a lack of desire, but a lack of a plan. A goal remains just a dream if there is no plan put into place.
Many people stop here because they dream the dreams, but they don’t know the steps to take to reach the desired goal. They become overwhelmed quickly without a specific action plan.
Fear limits our planning and our willingness to take action. We are afraid to plan something we are not sure that we can accomplish. We also fear taking the necessary steps because we do not want to fail. But, if we don't dream, don't make a plan and don't take steps, we fail anyway. So, what do we have to lose?!
Consider the obstacles in your way? Will you hurdle them, trip over them or just turn back?
Are you willing to assess where you are and where you want to be, and then make a detailed plan to get there?
If so, start today and write out the habits you have and want to change, the new habits that you want to develop, and the dreams that you want to make a plan for to achieve in 2016.
The first step to take for a successful 2016 is to create the habit of assessing.
If this has given you any benefit or you would like to share your plan, please comment below or on www.facebook.com/absorb360.
If you want to learn more about assessing your habits and goals and need help making a detailed plan, contact me at: tracy@absorb360.com.

Essential Essential Oils For Your Medicine Cabinet And Purse
Essential oils have many uses. Several should always be on hand for the unexpected cut, scrape, burn, sore muscles or headache. They cost less than medication and actually treat the problem and don't just cover it up for a while. Also, if you use them properly and are not allergic to them, there should not be any negative side effects.
Essential oils have been used for thousands of yeas for their therapeutic and healing properties. Aromatherapy is the practice of using essential oils to promote physical and psychological well-being.
Essential oils come from leaves, flowers, stems or roots of plants that are known for their health properties, and have been used for thousands of years.
When diluting oils, usually a 10% dilution is recommended for most people, which is 5 drops of oil per ½ teaspoon.
In addition to the oils mentioned in the last post for fat loss, these four oils are essential to have in your personal medicine cabinet.
4 Oils To Store In Your Personal Medicine Cabinet
1) Lavender – Lavender helps to heal cuts, burns, scrapes, rashes, and stings. It reduces anxiety and helps with sleep after a trauma.
2) Perppermint – Peppermint improves pain in joints and muscles and relieves digestive issues, reduces fevers, clears sinuses, improves asthma and bronchitis, and relieves headaches.
3) Frankincense – Frankincense is anti-inflammatory, helps heal bruising, reduces scars, boosts immunity and is good for emotional well-being. There is even research that shows it could help with cancer.
4) Melaleuca – Melaleuca is antibacterial and antifungal and can be used to prevent and reduce infection. It is used to clean the air of pathogens and allergens. Melaleuca oil is very penetrating and soothing.
Other oils you may want to have on hand include: eucalyptus, oregano and clove.
Store your oils in a cool dark place and they will last you a long time.
You also must remember that all essential oils are not created equal. Check the source. Is it indigenous? Does the company list where it came from? Is it harvested responsibly? One of the most important things to know is how the oil is extracted. Is it done chemically? If it is, this leaves residue in your oil. Only purchase oils that have been properly distilled. Your essential oils should be 100% pure oil extracted directly from the botanical plant source and guaranteed to contain NO synthetics or impurities.
Beware of "all-natural" oils. Water and mineral oil are also "all-natural". You need to get 100% PURE ESSENTIAL OIL, and ONLY the oil you are purchasing, unless it is an oil blend.
Do not be misled by made-up marketing terms used by some essential oil companies. “Therapeutic grade”and “certified therapeutic grade” are nothing more than invented terms. They have no actual certification value. The testing standards are defined by the very companies who use them.
If you are serious about using essential oils to promote your physical and psychological well-being, do your research. Compare tests that are done on the oils and most definitely, compare prices. If you want a price comparison sheet between the three leading essential oil companies, leave your contact information to the right and I will get that out to you ASAP.
Essential oils can be very beneficial if you know how to use them and do your research on the company producing them. Also, compare prices. Do not be one of the many who are buying low quality, over-priced oils from the stores, or over-priced oils direct from the manufacturer (over-priced even at wholesale pricing!)
Purity tested, quality guaranteed, and at a reasonable price is the best way to go!
If this has given you any benefit, please comment below or on www.facebook.com/absorb360.
If you want more information on essential oils or a free price comparison chart, put your email address in on the right side of this page and we will get that out to you immediately!

Transformation With Essential Oils
Years ago while living in Russia, I started learning about the power of essential oils. I have been using them ever since and continue to grow in my knowledge and personal practice with them. I am presently taking a course on transforming our health and lives by using essential oils. I will be sharing what I learn and any interesting information I find. Please enjoy the journey with me!
Aromatherapy is becoming more well-known and used for different health issues, whether preventive or in treating illnesses. Many hospitals are using essential oils now for anxiety, depression and infections. Midwives use essential oils to help with childbirth, and the oils can also have antibacterial or anti-fungal benefits. Essential oils are used for cuts, scrapes and burns and to help boost the immune system, as well as aiding with insomnia and digestion. Essential oils are even being used to prevent and fight cancer. There is quite a bit of research on how frankincense shrinks brain tumors.
(I am in no way treating ailments or disease; I am just passing on information that I am learning. You should do your own research and discuss it with your health care professional.)
Two of the main ways essential oils are used is topically and aromatically. According to scientific testing, any substance with a molecular weight below 1000m (m = weight of molecule) should be absorbed by the skin. Essential oils are very small size and have less chemical weight than 1000m. This means that essential oils are able to penetrate the skin and pass into the blood stream and go to different areas of the body for internal therapeutic benefits.
When you use aromatherapy, essential oils are absorbed into the bloodstream when inhaled. Because you have a large amount of blood vessels in your lungs, they absorb the oils and circulate them throughout your body. Using a diffuser can help you to experience the benefits of the essential oils that you are using.
Here are a few examples of how you can use essential oils in your diffuser to transform your health and well-being. You can use lavender to reduce stress, melaleuca to cleanse the air, wild orange to improve your mood, frankincense for spiritual enlightenment and peppermint to improve focus and energy.
I look forward to seeing more transformation in my own health as I gain more knowledge of the health benefits of essential oils! We can always learn more and we should be open to growing in our knowledge, even if we already are quite versed. I have also found in my own life, it is always good to be reminded of what I already know.
If this has given you any benefit or if you would like to share your favorite oil, please comment below or on www.facebook.com/absorb360.
Feel free to share with someone who wants to transform their health by using essential oils.

5 Ways To Empower Yourself
The first step in empowering yourself is to understand and believe that no one has power over the way you think, feel or act. To be mentally strong you cannot have a victim mentality!
1) Change Your Daily Vocabulary – In everything you think or do, realize that you have a choice! Instead of saying, “I have to do the dishes,” you should say, “I am choosing to do the dishes.” Or, instead of saying, “I have to work over the weekend,” you should say, “I am choosing to work over the weekend.” There may be some consequences for your choices, but you must admit that you have a choice! When we do, we feel empowered.
2) Don’t Waste Your Time Feeling Sorry For Yourself – Many people keep score of how many problems they have and how many hardships they have endured. Worrying about or wallowing in your problems will not make them go away or change in any way. Self-pity is bondage. It keeps you from finding a solution and it destroys any hope to find joy along the way. Problems and disappointments are inevitable, but feeling sorry for yourself is a choice! We can always control our attitude, no matter the outcome!
3) Don’t Waste Your Energy On Things You Can’t Control – If you complain and worry you not only waste your time, but your energy. Next time, invest that energy into something that you can control, like trying to find a solution to the problem at hand. If there is no solution to be found at that time, worrying or complaining still will not help change the circumstance or get rid of the problem. Instead, try to help someone else or work on something else. This will not only take your mind off the problem, but you will be blessed with joy knowing you helped someone else or finished another project.
4) Don't Dwell On The Past – Learning from the past empowers you, but dwelling on your failures is harmful. Do not make excuses or try to hide from your failures. Humble yourself and evaluate why it happened. Next time you will be more prepared. Also, don’t keep questioning the choices you have made. You have to just make peace with the past, learn from it. Live in the present and look forward to the future, two things that you can control.
5) Do Not Resent Other People’s Success – Envy and jealousy are destructive and they keep you from being focused on what you need to be doing to reach your goals or what you desire. When you see someone succeed or purchase something you want, be genuinely happy for them! Their achievement does not place limitations upon you or what you can achieve.
Practice these 5 steps daily and you will find yourself accomplishing more and having much more joy. Pay careful attention to how you choose to respond to situations, disappointments and problems that arise. If you want to empower yourself, look for ways you can grow, and be inspired to become better tomorrow than you are today.
We would love to hear from you in the comment box below, or on www.facebook.com/absorb360.

3 Steps To Overcoming The Fear Of Failing
We have all felt the fear of failing at some point in our lives. Whether it be fearing to ask someone out on a date in high school, or the fear of losing a big client in business, fear is felt. Unfortunately what happens most often when we fear something, we do not tackle it head on. We try to walk around it or close our eyes to it and hope it goes away.
The problem with this, however, is that the fear remains and the desired outcome is rarely accomplished. To achieve something, anything, we risk failure. We need to not only acknowledge this, but be Okay with it. The cost of not achieving our desired goal needs to be greater than the fear of failure.
3 Steps To Overcoming The Fear Of Failure
1) Acknowledge Your Fear – When you acknowledge your fear, you take away some of its power. You face it and look it right in the eye. Sometimes this can be scary, but it is necessary. We cannot battle a foe that we do not see it. Once you acknowledge it, you can then look for the root of it and find a way to overcome it..
2) Pull The Fear Out By Its Roots – When you see the root of your fear, it is easier to deal with it. You can make a plan and take action. For example, you were rejected by three different people when you asked them out. When you acknowledge this fear in asking the fourth person out, and see the root of it, “NO” for an answer, you can make a plan to change the next result. Maybe change what you are saying. Maybe take a bath!
Likewise, if you are afraid to lose a client, or maybe not get one that you would like, you need to ask “why?” Again, reflecting on your fear and finding the root, you will be better able to find a solution and have more of a probability to gain success the next time.
3) Attack The Fear – Once you made a plan and realized the action you need to take, TAKE IT! Do not dwell on the fear. Do not give it a second thought. Be laser focused on the success you want and don’t worry about not accomplishing it. Life is life and sometimes we fail, but it is better to deal with it when it happens and learn from it, than worrying about it and being paralyzed to do anything. This can be hard work. It takes decisive determination and a conscious effort.
If you do not make the decision to tackle your fear, you will most likely lose out anyway. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. If you don’t overcome your fear, you will never succeed. I love what Joyce Myers says, “It’s OK to be afraid, but sometimes you just need to do things afraid!’
Fear should not stop you. Even if you are afraid, you can still do what you need to do. Just do it afraid. Overcome your fear by choosing to plow through with what you need to do, even if you are afraid.

Take The Time For A Day Of Freedom
Take the time to spend at least one day living your ideal day. Start by visualizing it; maybe even write it out. Then choose a day to act it out.
This is one of the best ways to inspire yourself. Live the life you want and get a taste of it for at least one day.
How will you be living when you are living your freedom lifestyle? What would you be doing if you were in total control of your day?
What would be different if YOU decided what to put on the schedule, rather than someone else?
What would you do all day? Who might you spend time with? Where would you go?
Will you be exercising more? Reading more books? Traveling? Spending more time with your family? Taking the time to enjoy a hobby?
There is a lot of power in visualizing. Get your brain thinking how you can make it happen. Once you do this you will begin to see more opportunities and you will be more prepared to take them.
If you completely plan your ideal day, you will be one step closer to making it happen on a daily basis. Create a specific vision. Don’t just think about that one day, but think about what it would be like living that way over the next year, or five years.
Imagine all the steps you must take – big and small. See yourself taking the steps and creating success.
How bad do you want that lifestyle freedom? Is it worth sacrificing now for a better tomorrow? If you answered YES, you must be prepared to commit yourself to doing what it will take to achieve it.
It is essential to remove anything that is holding you back, whether it be negative people or just mental barriers. It is also vital to understand that you are totally responsible for any success or failure. You need to be willing to take full responsibility.
Are you willing to commit 100% to achieving your dreams? How badly do you want to live the life of freedom that you imagined and tasted for one day?
There needs to be no excuses and no “buts”.
Is this something you can commit to?
Are you working to make yourself rich, or your boss? Let us know more about the strategies you have used in the comments box below or on www.facebook.com/absorb360.

2 Ways To Overcome Procrastination
Most of us procrastinate some times. Some people make a habit of it. WHY?
Why do we procrastinate if we know it causes us more stress, and we know, in the end we will have to do it anyway.
People who struggle with self-motivation and organization tend to be more likely to procrastinate. So if that is you, you must make more of a conscious effort to get started and get things done.
There are two proven ways to help people overcome procrastination if they are willing to follow this advice.
1. Get Started!
Getting started is usually the hardest part for anybody, but especially for procrastinators. We need to remember that once we start momentum will carry us forward. There is something called the Zeigarnik Effect.
"The Zeigarnik Effect is the tendency to experience intrusive thoughts about an objective that was once pursued and left incomplete (Baumeister & Bushman, 2008, pg. 122). The automatic system signals the conscious mind, which may be focused on new goals, that a previous activity was left incomplete. It seems to be human nature to finish what we start and, if it is not finished, we experience dissonance.
A study done by Greist-Bousquet and Schiffman (1992) provided evidence for the Zeigarnik Effect. In this paper, the authors stated that there is a tendency or “need” to complete a task once it has been initiated and the lack of closure that stems from an unfinished task promotes some continued task related cognitive effort. The cognitive effort that comes with these intrusive thoughts of the unfinished task is terminated only once the person returns to complete the task." (http://www.psychwiki.com/wiki/Zeigarnik_Effect)
The only way to take advantage of this is to get started and use that momentum to help us complete the task at hand.
2. Break Tasks Down Into Bite Sized Chunks
Many have a problem with getting started because the task seems so big and overwhelming. Psychologically we can overcome this fear of starting if we break the task down. Mentally we can grasp starting and doing two to three small things, rather than one enormous thing. This makes getting started easier.
We need to take a big task and break it down into smaller steps. This makes it easier to commit to doing something. We need to see that it will not be overwhelming and that it is realistically doable.
Once we start, that momentum will help us to finish what we need to do.
So, break your task down into smaller steps and you will be better able to motivate yourself to get started. Once you do, that momentum will help you carry on until completion. In the end you will accomplish much more and overcome your procrastination.

Are You Looking For True Wealth, Or Are You Looking For The Perceived Benefits That Wealth Can Provide?
If to be honest, most people are not looking for a large pile of money. What they really want is the ability to have control over their destiny. They want freedom. They want to impact others.
What does freedom look like to you? If you can paint this picture in your mind, you will discover your WHY. Once this is discovered, this creates passion. It is what you love and what you want out of life.
Your dreams can become goals when you know WHY, and WHEN you want them to be achieved.
Without a fire burning and without passion, your dreams just pass away as a fleeting dream when you awake.
Your vision needs to be crystal clear and your plan well defined. Your WHY gives you energy and excitement, even when you are not feeling too energetic.
If you want new meaning to your life, you need to find what you are passionate about.
What destiny will you choose and what legacy will you leave behind?
How would being wealthy help you and others? True wealth can make a difference in your life!
Abundance is a choice, and that choice is yours. Opportunity is not accidental and nothing is “just a coincidence”. Opportunities lost can have just as powerful results as those that are found.
True wealth will make a difference in your life and in the lives you care most about.
Time is your most precious asset. It is extremely valuable and cannot be replaced. Time and money are closely related.
Many successful people believe that you should learn the best ways to have your money work for you so you don’t always have to be working for money. This will give you more choices as to how to use your time.
Freedom isn’t free. Any success demands a price be paid. What are you willing to pay for true wealth? Once you have made the choice, you need a plan and a process.
The benefits of taking control of your life and your destiny are much more rewarding than simply “having a job”.
"It's been said that the greatest financial risk that a person could take in life is to work for someone else!"
Live by decision and by design!
Be grateful for and treasure the things that money can’t buy, but also be grateful for the things it can buy.
Bear fruit. Live without worries. Live abundantly and with gratitude! Enjoy true wealth and pass on the blessing.
The decision is yours! If you are not satisfied with the results from your decisions over the past three years of your life, or if you are still where you were three years ago for lack of planning anything different, consider taking steps toward true wealth, change your philosophy and redesign your life.

Do You Consider Yourself Wealthy?
What Is Your Definition Of Wealth?
If you ever hope to become wealthy, you need to be able to define it.
Most people think of the dictionary definition when they think of wealth. But, if to study wealthy people, they usually have a different definition.
For example, Robert Kiyosaki: "The number of days you can survive without physically working and still maintain your chosen standard of living."
Sir John Templeton says: "Riches are about asset allocation, wealth is about gratitude."
"Wealth Is About Gratitude." I would agree with this definition. True wealth must include gratitude.
Even the Bible says: Matthew: 6:33, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things will be added to you. (Speaking of all the material needs you have.)
Unfortunately many Christians think that it is more “holy” to be broke. This couldn’t be farther from the truth. If you are broke, you are a burden on others and you cannot help other people in need. Throughout Scripture, wealth is seen as blessing from God and that He takes pleasure in blessing His children. Loving the riches more than you love the One who gave them, is where the problem arises.
Some people are rich and not wealthy. Many others are continually just seeking money. True wealth is much more than money. It is having enough and being able to decide where and when you will use your resources, and being grateful for all the resources that you have.
Riches are money and things. Wealth is appreciating them, being grateful for them and having the ability to enjoy them.
When you are wealthy, not only are you blessed, but many others are as well.
So, why would anybody not desire to be wealthy? Severe lack leads to frustration and hunger. If you lack, you cannot help or bless others. Lacking does not equate with righteousness or godliness.
Abundance is a blessing, a blessing that should flow on, not be stopped up so it becomes stagnant.
We should all ask ourselves this question.
Why would I want to be anything, but wealthy?
We can ask ourselves a couple other good questions.
How would my life be different if I was wealthy?
Why would I even want to be wealthy?
Whom could I help if I were wealthy?
If you can discover your WHY, you can discover HOW.
Take some time and ponder those questions. We will continue these thoughts next week.
We would love to hear from you in the comment box below, or on www.facebook.com/absorb360 about your thoughts on true wealth.

Happy Thanksgiving!
On Thanksgiving do you continue the habit of giving thanks every day, or do you quit complaining for a day and then return to your old self on Friday?
We can give thanks or we can complain. Complaining is the opposite of giving thanks. Reflect on what you do more of…complaining or giving thanks. Are you grateful or critical?
Tomorrow is a national holiday of giving thanks. Think about what you are thankful for. Maybe even put it down on paper.
There is always something that could be better or we could always have more, but what are you thankful for that you already have?
After you make a nice long list of all of the things and people you are thankful for, then think of one thing you do not like or that you are not thankful for.
If there is something that you don’t like; don’t complain, do something about it! Take responsibility instead of blaming someone or a circumstance. It is what it is and you can’t change the past, but you can change your future.
Don’t dwell on the past, the circumstance or the place you are at today. You have a choice to be there again tomorrow, or to be in a different place. Be grateful for what you learned or gained from the experience, even if it was only learning patience or perseverance. If you allow yourself to grow, then you won in the end. It will help you to do better and be better tomorrow.
You can complain or you can do something about it. Be productive and purposeful. Be grateful and give thanks often!
Give thanks today and always!
We would love to hear from you in the comment box below, or on www.facebook.com/absorb360 about what you are Thankful for.
Have a blessed day!

3 Reasons To Ask For What You Want
You need to learn to ask for what you want. Whether it be in relationships, work, or even preferences where you want to eat or go on vacation, learn to ask for what you want.
But, in order to do this, you need to know what it is that you want.
How much time have you put into thinking about what you really want? What you want out of life? What you want in your relationships? What you want from your job or business?
More importantly, WHY do you want what you want?
Once you figure that out, reach out to achieve it. Ask for what you want.
This does not mean you will get everything you want, but at least you will be focused on reaching your goals and doing all that is in your power to achieve them.
Three reasons why you should ask for what you want:
1) You might get it! My mother taught me that if you don’t ask, you don’t get. If you don’t ask, the answer is “no”. If you do ask, you have a 50% chance of getting what you want.
Learn to ask for more things and learn to be okay with “no”. Rejecting your request is just that. It is not a rejection of you.
But keep on asking because the more you ask, the more you will hear “yes” or get what you asked for.
2) You might grow. When you ask for what you want, often you are stepping outside your comfort zone. In this case, you are growing, something that is always good. You are also initiating your success. You are becoming more confident in what you want and you become willing to risk discomfort or rejection to get it. Personal growth is always a positive thing, no matter the result.
3) You might ask for bigger things in the future. Practice makes perfect! If you develop the habit of asking for little things, like where to eat or for help washing the dishes, it will be easier to ask for bigger things. You become comfortable with hearing “no” and you become confident knowing it is okay to ask for something, even something major that could change your life!
Asking for what you want is not a bad thing if you are not caught up the outcome, or if you are not demanding something from someone else. ASKING is just that, making a request. People have the right to grant your request or turn it down.
You should not assume you will get everything you ask for or think everyone owes you. Be humble and know why you are asking. You must ask with the right motives and keep pride out of the way. If you do this, you will have peace and joy and most likely be one step closer to reaching your goals and destination.
Take control of what you can, and ask for what you want.
We would love to hear from you in the comment box below, or on www.facebook.com/absorb360 about what you will be asking for. Feel free to share with someone who needs an encouraging word to help them ask for what they want.

5 Ways To Create Better Habits
You are the sum of your habits – good or bad. Habits are things we do day in and day out. They are practically automatic. But, they do take time to be created.
Habits are created by things you do repetitively. Consistency will create a habit.
So, what are your morning habits? At a minimum, most of us eat breakfast and brush our teeth. More habits might include a shower, prayer or meditation, exercise, reading, or checking email.
How do these habits affect the rest of your day? How might they affect your day and your health if you did develop them as habits?
Choosing the right actions, which means creating good habits, you can create a healthier body, mind and spirit.
What are the habits you follow when you get frustrated or disappointed? Do you rant and rave or do you take a deep breath and move on?
Choosing to create bad habits cause more stress in our lives. Likewise, making better choices lead to less stress and more joy. Create a habit of only allowing yourself to be angry or upset for a moment and then accept the circumstance for what it is and move on.
If we want to improve something, we simply need to change our habits.
You can master your behaviors!
It is best if we attempt to practice and change one habit at a time. If you are just starting out, pick a small habit that will be easier to change. This will help build your confidence and help give you success.
Here are five examples as to how you can change a few very small habits.
• Leave one spoonful of dessert unfinished.
• Drink a full glass of water each morning when you wake up.
• Read one page in a book every day.
• Walk five minutes before going to work.
• Find five things to be grateful for daily.
If you start small you will see improvement and it will be easier to keep going. Momentum will be on your side. It is just like working out at the gym. You will create a stronger “habit muscle”.
Once you master those small habits, prepare to tackle something bigger!
Just remember, a habit is formed by taking small consistent steps.
For a couple of decades it was thought that it only took 21 days to create a new habit. Science now shows it usually takes 66 days to develop a new habit.
So, what are you waiting for? Challenge yourself to change a few, or all, of these five small habits and then choose a major one you would like to create in your life.
Make it realistic and then be persistent. Do it at the same time each day or after a certain “event”. This will help you to remember to do it and it will be easier to form a new habit.
Good luck! Be consistent and success will follow.

5 Positive Quotes To Help Keep You Habitually Optimistic
Life has way too many negative and pessimistic people that
make it difficult at times to continue in a positive spirit. Not only are there negative people, but there
is a lot of negative news. So what can
you do to remain habitually optimistic?
There are many people who have experienced failure and
success and despite the odds and challenges, have kept a positive attitude.
Sometimes it’s difficult to remain positive in spite of your
circumstances, but it is definitely worth the extra effort. Seeing the brighter side is not always easy,
but you will have much more joy in your life if you choose to be and remain
positive no matter what.
If you do not want to get stuck in the negativity, you need
to make a conscious decision to choose to remain positive. It is a simple choice, just difficult to make
sometimes.
The people you hang around directly influence how positive
or negative you are. Look around you and
if the majority of the people you rub shoulders with everyday are negative, you
need to make some changes because that will rub off on you very quickly.
Positive people energize us and help us to choose positive
responses.
Negativity zaps your energy and is a heavy burden to
carry. Lighten your load and caste off
any negativity.
In order to be habitually optimistic, you need to create the habit,
which means to practice, practice, practice. Develop the habit. Then
it will become second nature.
Choose to be positive and habitually optimistic!
5 Positive Quotes...Which one resonates best with you?
1. "Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones,
you'll start having positive results." — Willie Nelson
2. "Positive thinking will let you do everything better than
negative thinking will.” – Zig Ziglar
3. “Attitude is a little thing that makes a big
difference.” — Winston Churchill
4.
“Pessimism leads to
weakness, optimism to power.” — William James
5. "In every day, there are 1,440 minutes. That means we
have 1,440 daily opportunities to make a positive impact.” — Les Brown
How will you be using your 1,440 minutes today?

The Tragic Disease Of Indifference
Are you sick with this awful disease or are you immune to it?
One of the most dangerous diseases of our minds is indifference. It is bad enough if someone is negative, but indifference rots your life to the very core. It is easier to turn a negative attitude to a positive one, than light a fire under indifference.
When you don’t care one way or the other, you will not take action. You won’t even think about taking action, or not taking action.
Popping a few pills will not heal indifference. Indifference needs to be cut out from the roots.
If you feel indifferent about which restaurant to eat at tonight, that is really no big deal. But, if you feel indifferent about your future, your relationships or your bank account, you may have serious problems.
Indifference leads to inactivity. Inactivity leads to nothing. There is no hope and no joy in nothing.
If you are feeling indifferent, you need to start asking yourself several questions. Why do I feel this way? Has something happened to steal my joy and my passion? Why did I start the journey? Where do I really want to end up? Do I want to be tomorrow where I am today?
Ask yourself these questions and answer them honestly. If you are afraid to answer honestly, you won't be able to get away from indifference and you will remain in the same place.
Answering these question will help you see where you are at and possibly why you are there. Then you can do something about it!
You are in control of your destiny! Where do you want to be? Same place?
If you are just drifting along in life, you will not reach any destination. Drifting is indifference and you must overcome indifference in order to reach your goals, to be successful and to live a passionate filled life.
If you are hoping, or better yet planning, to reach a mountain top, you will not get there just drifting along!
Pull up your anchor. Set your sail. Throw any indifference over the side. Feel the wind in your face. Live your life to the fullest!
