The Road To Excellence
Many say they want to walk this road to excellence, but few ever make it past the first mile. If you truly want to pursue excellence in your life, then follow these 5 simple bits of advice.
1) Believe You Can! If you set a goal, don’t let the past hold you back. You are not your past. You can change anything about your life that you want to if you focus on what you want in the future, not what you have had in the past. Focus on where you want to go, not where you are today or where you have been. If you don’t like something, change it! Your life, finances, relationships, job, house, car, income, all can change – if you are willing to change.
2) Invest In Your Future! Invest in your education, whether it be reading books, finding a mentor or paying for training or classes. Invest in your education. What is your future worth to you? Set a price. What time and money are you willing to give to get you where you want to be?
3) Stop Caring About What Others Think! They are not living your life. They are not walking in your shoes. Stop caring about what other think, especially if they have not caught your vision. Don’t allow them to be the rope that holds your hot air balloon to the ground. Cut that rope and begin to soar!
4) Stop Comparing Yourself To Others! You don’t know the struggles they have had or the sacrifices that they have made. Many of them have simply been on their journey longer than you have. The most important thing is that you make progress on a daily basis. Don’t worry about doing more than someone else. Just be consistent in what you are doing to get you where you want to be.
5) Celebrate Your Wins! Whether they are big or small, take time to celebrate your wins. Keep your momentum going and go from celebrating one win to the next and eventually you will arrive at your destination having enjoyed the journey.
Commit to your destination and choose your path. The road to excellence can be bumpy, but if you follow these five steps, you will reach your goals and enjoy the journey!

Is WORK A Four Letter Word?
What comes to mind when you hear the word work?
Pain? Necessary evil? Something to avoid?
Most people just want to get it over with. They want to retire. Sunday evening most people dread getting up the next day to go to work.
This is usually an employee mindset. Do the work so you can go have fun. Work 50 weeks so you can have two weeks of vacation.
Entrepreneurs think differently. Work is not a negative. Work is the key to fortune and happiness. It is the key to purpose and growth.
If you have a negative mindset about work, you can only go so far in life. Your mindset needs to be re-framed. You need to look at work as an opportunity, an opportunity to grow and make life better, not only for yourself, but for others as well. When you have this mindset you will look at work with excitement and enthusiasm. You will rest in order to gain more strength to continue working. Your work will be your joy and your passion..
If you work just to retire, then what? What purpose is there? To just hang around? Our purpose should not be to just make a dollar and pay the bills. Yes, we need to make a dollar so we can survive. We need to pay bills so we can survive. But, life can be more than just survival and living paycheck to paycheck and bills to more bills. If you are willing to change your mindset and be passionate about your work, your life could be so much richer.
There is nothing wrong with being an employee. It is a career choice and life choice. Unfortunately, many employees have never considered anything different.
I personally have had an entrepreneurial mindset my whole life. I am diligent in making plans and taking action. From my first entrepreneurial adventure of selling my sisters toys, to starting a couple businesses in Russia, I have enjoyed my work. Now, that doesn’t mean it is easy or always “fun”. Work is laborious. But the PURPOSE of your labor is much more enjoyable. Working to build your empire, rather than someone else’s is much more rewarding. The Bible even says that it is a blessing to enjoy one's work.
Today, the mission of my primary business is enhance other people’s lives and help them to reach their goals. When I worked in a factory one summer or in a gas station, there wasn’t a lot of purpose except to get my paycheck. In any business or job, we receive a paycheck, but that doesn’t have to be the end goal. There can be so much more to work than just a paycheck!
Another business I am growing has a mission to inspire, challenge, encourage and empower people. With this business I am still shoveling manure, but it is such a joy, manure and all!

3 Easy Steps To Redesign Your Life
Are you living the life you want or are you living the life you have been given?
Most people take the easy path and the one with the least amount of resistance.
Repeated behavior creates habits; and habits are hard to change, especially bad ones. Your life is made up of many habits you do over time. Unless you have all great habits that you practice daily, you may have woken up one day and wondered, “Where am I and how did I get here?”
Just like changing course while sailing needs you to move the rudder or change the way the sails are set, so changing where you are at in life needs you to take action. It was repeated action that got you to where you are at and it will be repeated different actions that will get you to where you want to be.
If you will follow these three steps daily, they will be a road map for you and will help you to not be too distracted or make wrong decisions. They will help bring you to your destination.
1) Ask Yourself Daily, “What Do I Want?”
How often have you asked yourself this question? How much thought have you put into the answer?
If you don’t know what you want, where you want to live or what you want to be doing, you need to answer these questions before you set sail. If you don’t know, you will just get blown around on the sea of life. These answers will be your rudder. They will determine how you adjust your sails each week.
When demands come, you will know what is worth your time to accept and you will know what you need to say no to.
If an opportunity comes your way, you will see it and realize you need to seize it, or pass it by. You won’t miss the opportunity and you won’t waste your time pursuing something that won’t bring you closer to where you want to be.
Every time something comes your way, ask yourself, “Is this really what I want?”
Asking this question will give you direction and clarity.
2) Ask Yourself Daily, “Who Can I Serve?”
As Zig Zigler said, “Help enough people get what they want, and you will get everything that you want.”
Genuinely seek out how you can serve people. If you see a need, act upon it and fill it. If you don’t know a need, ask. Ask how you can help. Ask them about their hurts and burdens. Find a need and then help meet it. Find out people's goals and help them get closer to reaching those goals.
If you practice this daily you will be on a fast track not only to success, but to an enriched and meaningful life.
When you serve people, you add value. Any store or service that does not add value, closes down. They don’t last long if they are not giving value to their customers. If they bring value to people, they grow.
In order to redesign your life, apply this life principle and ask this question daily. “Who can I serve?”
3) Ask Yourself Daily, “Why Not Now?”
This question is essential if you desire to redesign your life. You must ask it every single day. Unfortunately, it is human nature to ask, “Why not tomorrow?” This question leads to procrastination, which halts your progress, eventually frustrates you since you are not moving closer to meeting your desired goals, and in the end, causes you to throw in the towel. It is like getting stranded on a sand bar.
You can come up with many excuses why you can’t or don’t have the time to serve people or take the action that will adjust your sails so that you can catch the wind to keep you moving in the direction that you want to go. You must choose to act, not make excuses or procrastinate. If you do not act on a thought within five seconds, in most cases, you won't act. You will talk yourself out of doing what you thought to do.
Next time you ask yourself this question, and hopefully it will be tomorrow, write down every excuse you came up with as to why you can’t or shouldn’t take action now. After that, put the paper away until the next day. When you get up, read your paper. It will definitely put everything into clearer perspective.
As you start to redesign your life, at first your actions may be small. Maybe you’ll just make a phone call or send an email to a hurting friend. Maybe you will do a small chore that you normally don’t do. Maybe you will pay for someone’s coffee. Or maybe you’ll read an inspirational or challenging book that will give you more motivation. But if you will commit to asking these questions over time, you will be constantly tweaking your course and catching the wind. If you desire to redesign your life, following these three steps daily is the simplest way to add value to others and to your own life.
As they say, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with just one step.” Get stepping and create the life you desire.

What Happens When 10X Is Your Measuring Stick…
If you are willing to think and act 10X more than what you are
currently doing, then everything in your life that you apply that to should multiply by 10X.
What could that mean for you?
Would you like your relationships, health, sports, success, business, or overall
life to be 10X better than it is now?
Then you need to think and act 10X more.
When you think and act 10X kinder and bolder, imagine
the results. What if you invest 10X more
time into training or studying? What if
you gave 10X more compliments to your spouse or children? What if you invested 10X more of your
resources? What if you ate 10X more
veggies (or cut down on sugar by 10X?) What if you had 10X more faith! Imagine the results!!
Most people are not willing to invest 5X more, let
alone 10X more. If you are willing to
make everything 10X more, you would have better health, you could surpass any competitor, you could make your
relationships 10X better and have results and success 10X more than they are
today.
It is essential to stretch your thinking and flex
your mental muscles. This will take you
outside your comfort zone where you feel safe and secure. You will be forced to see the possibilities
rather than just all of the problems.
How far are you willing to stretch? 2X? 5X? 10X?
Say you have a goal of earning $100,000 this year. Why not change it to $1,000,000? When you do this you force yourself to operate at a higher level and will definitely be taking other areas in your life up 10X as well.
If you read one book a year, multiply that by 10! How about in giving? How would it feel to give 10X more?

If you read one book a year, multiply that by 10! How about in giving? How would it feel to give 10X more?
In order to up your life 10X, you must be creative
and you must be brave. Are you willing
to go there? Are you seriously willing
to go there, and not just for a few days?
Are you willing to really change your thinking and not allow it to revert
back to your status quo?
You must be willing to question yourself daily and
believe in a whole new set of possibilities that are before you.
What is your 10X potential?
Your new goals, thinking and action, may cause others to think you are crazy. Are you willing to rise above this and keep thinking and acting 10X more?
Your new goals, thinking and action, may cause others to think you are crazy. Are you willing to rise above this and keep thinking and acting 10X more?
To help you start thinking outside your box, start
thinking of goals that will far exceed your current capabilities. Thinking 10X more makes you shoot for the stars,
not just the tallest tree. You need to
develop a mentality that goes beyond your current abilities.
Your vision should be where you want to be, not
where you are. Your goals
will challenge you to become more than you are today, 10X more!
You will not just be “lucky”. You will be unstoppable!
When a challenge arises, tell yourself you are going to rise above it. You can always do 10X more than is required. If you are ready to stop, tell yourself to do 10X more! If you do 10 push ups, do 10 more and eventually do 10X more.
Are you willing to give 10X more to be or have 10X more? Try it for an hour, a day, or even a week!

3 Secrets To Living An EXTRAordinary Life
1) Never Be Satisfied – “The drive to close the gap between near-perfect and perfect is the difference between great and unstoppable.” Tim Grover
- Do not be content after achieving your goal. Push yourself further, beyond ordinary, into EXTRAordinary.
- Never being satisfied does not mean not appreciating what you have. Be humble and grateful for everything in life and this will keep you from becoming complacent or lazy. Desiring to be more and to do more will keep you going.
2) Be True To Yourself And Your Values – “70 percent of US employees hate their jobs and only one in three Americans report being happy.”
- If you desire to be unstoppable, purge everything from your life that you hate.
- Immediately change anything that is not right in your life. Don’t wait for a better time. It will never come. Complacency will keep you in the same ordinary rut.
- When you take control and live life on your terms, your confidence and self-respect will soar. Don't give in to or be satisfied with the status quo. Keep your goals in mind and strive for excellence!
3) Continue Learning, Always – “Education is the kindling of a flame, not the filling of a vessel.” Socrates
- Ordinary people spend their spare time seeking entertainment. EXTRAordinary people spend their spare moments seeking self-improvement, education and learning new things.
- Never quit improving your skills and knowledge. This will help you rise above the turkeys and soar with the eagles.
When you prepare yourself by applying these 3 secrets, you will have power and an upper hand on those who do not. Most people are not willing to pay the price to become EXTRAordinary. Pay the price and reap the benefits!

You Can Get More Desired Results With This 5 Second Question
Some of us ask this critical question in regards to things we do and the time we spend on an activity. Unfortunately most people do not ask this question in regards to the amount of time they give to the thoughts they hold in their mind.
This is the golden question that you must constantly ask yourself, “Is this worth my time?”
Is it worth your time pursuing activities that waste your time or do not move you closer to a desired result?
- Is it worth my time watching TV when the lawn needs mowing?
- Is it worth my time eating donuts when I want to lose 30 pounds?
Is it worth your time thinking about something that you do not want?
- Is it worth my time thinking about failing a test, or would that time be better spent reviewing the information necessary to pass?
- Is it worth my time wondering or worrying if someone will accept or reject my invitation, rather than just picking up the phone and calling them?
It would serve you best if you would use your time to do things and think about things that you want to accomplish, rather than on things you don’t.
You will get more of the results you desire if you will ask yourself before you do an activity, “Is this worth my time?” It will also help if you ask yourself that question as you are putting things in your calendar and planning your day or week.
It may be easier to control activities, but true continual success will come easier if you control the way you think.
The results you are getting are controlled by the things you choose to spend your time doing and the by the way you think and what you spend your time thinking about.
Get better results in all areas of your life by asking yourself this critical question before commiting to an activity or a thought.
Are the thoughts I am thinking and the activities I am pursuing each day worth my time?

Edit Your Thoughts – 3 Game Changing Mental Activities
We all allow negative thoughts to creep in from time to time. But, it is our choice whether they stay or not. I read once that negative thoughts use the same mental real estate as the positive ones do. That painted a good picture of the space in my mind. I only have so much space and I need to decide what is going to be allowed in.
Positive and negative thoughts take up the same space, but they do not bring the same value or hold the same importance. You wouldn’t leave your garbage laying around your kitchen day in and day out, so why would you leave negative thoughts in your mind?
Practice These 3 Mental Activities And Change Your Game
1) Eliminate Stinkin’ Thinkin’ – Just as you take the trash out when it starts to smell, do the same when stinky thoughts enter you mind. Do not let them occupy the space because when they do, usually your results show what you mind has been occupied with. Spending time identifying the reasons why something can’t be done will never help you get it done.
2) Have A Positive Outlook – Once the negative thoughts are out, you must fill that space with positive thoughts or there will be room for more negative ones to creep back in. Once you have stopped complaining about a problem, think how you might be able to solve it. You need to look for solutions if you ever hope to move towards your goals or get over a hump in the road. Just getting rid of the negative thoughts will not move you forward. Replace them with positive, constructive thoughts.
3) Drive Your Actions With Your Thoughts – Since your thoughts drive the actions you take, make sure your thoughts are going to take you where you want to go. You will get superior results if you have superior thoughts. If you get a flat tire and sit in the car hitting the wheel cussing, it won't change the fact that you have a flat and the tire needs to be changed. It would be better to stop and think, "Where is my spare?" or, "Do I need to call for assistance?" The faster you change your thinking, the faster you will be back driving down the road.
If you edit your thoughts, you will accomplish more; and the quicker you choose to get rid of negative thinking and bring positive, constructive thoughts is, the quicker you will meet your deadline and reach your goals. Change your mental activity and you will change your game!
