Are You Living Your Dreams?
In order to live your dreams, you must first uncover them and put them on the table.
Stop and take a few minutes to reflect on what you would like to have in your life five years from now. What are your dreams and goals? Write them down.
• Be debt free
• In your own home
• Traveling more
• Have more free-time to enjoy your family or hobbies (Time Freedom)
• Financial freedom
So now that you know where you want to go, you just need a map to get from point A, where you are now, to point B, where you want to end up.
When traveling the roads to reach your goals, you need to consider the best route. There are most likely several ways to get there; but the question is, which is the best road? You can take back gravel roads, or you can take a highway.
Here is a road map to reaching your destination and being able to live your dreams.
1. Commit to personal development each day.
Before you begin your journey you need to decide each day that you will be become better, a better person and better at what you do.
No matter how good you are or what you have already achieved, self-improvement is the gas in your vehicle.
2. Set a specific destination and map out your journey.
Now that you decided where you want to go and you have committed to changing and improving yourself so that you can change where you are, you need a plan to get there.
Develop a road map to take you to your dreams. The route doesn’t need to be fancy, it can be simple. If your destination is a family vacation, you could save a couple dollars a day. If you want to lose weight, cut out a few sweets or commit to walking a mile a day.
You must know what steps need to be taken to move towards your destination. You also need to know how you are going to work on personal development. A good place to start is to commit to reading an article each day.
Create achievable goals with realistic daily expectations and you will eventually arrive at your destination.
3. Get driving.
Revving your engine while in neutral will not get you too far.
You can choose an awesome destination and have great ideas, but without action, it is useless to actually plan on arriving. You can dream all you want, but without taking daily action, you will stay where you are. Daily action is like pushing on the gas pedal. If you don't push, you won't go.
The key to turning dreams into reality is action!
Many people dream dreams. But, the number of those people who act on their dreams and ideas, are a select few. Will you be one of the select few who reach their destination, who gain health, wealth and wisdom?
You must quit flipping through the travel magazine wishing you were in paradise.
Stop watching others enjoy the good life, wishing you were as well, and instead begin to commit to improving yourself.
Develop a plan and act on it!
There are several universal laws that are hard facts. They are true whether you believe them or not.
1. The Law Of Cause And Effect – Nothing happens merely by chance. Every action (including thought) has a reaction or consequence. We reap what we sow.
2. The Law Of Action – This law must be employed in order for us to manifest things on earth. We must engage in actions that support our thoughts, dreams, emotions and words.
If we do not sow, we will not reap.
If we do not act, nothing will be manifested or come to pass.
Sow a decision. Sow a commitment for daily personal development. Sow a plan. Sow daily action to move you toward your destination.
And most importantly, ENJOY THE JOURNEY!

Reduce Inflammation, Or Else...
I wanted to switch gears a little today and talk about inflammation. If your mindset is healthy, but your body is not, you are not well and you will not be able to function at the top of your ability.
Most people know that inflammation is the leading cause of today’s most dangerous illnesses.
When many people think of inflammation, they think of a sprained ankle, a bad sinus infection or an ugly zit. This is an acute inflammation and your white blood cells go to work. It is ideal for healing a cut finger.
But, there is another kind of inflammation that contributes to health conditions like heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, premature aging, and some cancers. This is chronic inflammation and it happens when your tissues are damaged and your body is constantly in fight mode.
Chronic inflammation is affected by our diet and our lifestyle choices. It doesn’t happen overnight, but it builds up day after day and year after year.
Inflammation is like a fire in your body. You may not even notice it unless you have some aches and pains.
Your diet is a major factor in regards to the inflammation in your body, and it works against you when you are trying to stay healthy.
Your diet determines if you are fighting the fire, or fueling the flames.
Fast food, fried food, sugar, refined grains and saturated fat are massive inflammation irritants.
Inflammation is running rampant in America and one of the best ways to combat this aggressor is with antioxidants. Berries, watermelon, dark leafy vegetables and fatty fish are just a few things rich in antioxidants.
If you want to be healthy, you need to decrease the free radicals and inflammation in your body. You need to seriously consider the foods you are putting in and the lifestyle you are leading.
Even if you eat relatively healthy, most likely you are not getting all the antioxidants that your body requires at a cellular level. It is wise to consider supplementation.
When considering which supplements to take you need to determine if they are natural, or synthetic, and what kind of delivery system they use. You can take all the antioxidants you want, but if they do not impact your body at the cellular level, they aren’t worth much.
Alkaline water is another excellent source of antioxidants and it helps reduce inflammation. (We will discuss this more in a later post.)
Diet, supplements and alkaline water are all fantastic sources of antioxidants, BUT, you need to take them regularly and you must be intentional.

Are Your Words Impacting Your Success?
Are the words you are speaking impacting your success, or the lack there of?
Sometimes tweaking what you say and the attitude you have can reap incredible results. These subtle differences can make the difference for your future success or failure.
It all goes back to your mindset.
Every single day you must decide what you will entertain in your mind, how you will speak about your circumstances, and what attitude you will have about any person or problem you encounter.
When you choose to have faith, and hope for the best and speak your faith, this moves you toward your desired outcome.
Remember, faith is believing in the unseen. It is what you hope for before you actually see and experience it.
We speak faith statements daily before anything has even happened.
“I never win…” Well, guess what? You most likely won’t.
A better choice of words, hopeful, faith-based words, would be, “I am striving to win today.”
Don’t those words just feel better? There is hope, a positive feeling, not an oppressive, hopeless feeling.
Instead of saying, “What if it doesn’t work out?” Say, “What if it DOES work out?”
Anticipate a positive outcome. The journey will be more pleasant, as will the end result.
You really need to stop saying what you DON’T want, and start saying what you DO want!
Your choice of words, and you do have a choice, impact not only your success, but the road to where you are going. It can be an encouraging, hopeful trip, or it can be a depressing and dreaded one.
Any person can learn to speak positively. It just takes practice.
You must be intentional.
Control your thoughts and choose your words carefully. Be aware of what you are saying!
With the right choice of words it still may take different amounts of time to get to the same destination.
Your language, what you speak and how you speak over yourself and your situations, will have an enormous impact on your attitude, actions and results.
Guard your mind and what goes through the gate of your lips. It will impact your success.

7 Ways To Stay Motivated
Do you have a hard time getting motivated?
Once you get motivated, how long do you stay motivated?
Do you keep your excitement going until you have finished and reached your goal, or do you quit when you don't "feel" like it anymore?
Usually people need some stimuli to inspire them and fire them up. Where are you seeking stimulation? Are you seeking stimulation?
Once we have been motivated to begin doing something, the next task is to keep ourselves motivated until the end.
If you follow these seven motivational tips, you will have more of a chance to stay motivated and reach your goals.
Let's first consider what your passions are. These are things that motivate you and get your brain churning and your heart pumping when you start thinking about them.
Also, think about the mundane things that are not always a joy to do, but that need to be done - your responsibilities, chores, family duties.
If you apply these seven tips to what you are passionate about and to that which is mundane, you will find more success than if you try to accomplish them otherwise.
Review these seven steps on a regular basis to keep your inspiration fresh and your motivation going strong.
1. It All Begins In Your Mind.
You need to make a decision not only as to what you want to do, but you need to decide ahead of time that you are going to do your best and accomplish your goal.
If you don't think you can accomplish something, why would you even start? And if you did start, how long would you really keep striving to accomplish it? You need to believe that you can accomplish it!
Quit just passing thoughts through your mind. Do something with them!
Make up your mind to go all the way to the top and start taking action to get there. The most extraordinary thing happens when you do this - you move in the direction you want to go!
Once you decide to do something, life becomes more interesting and you have more energy.
You need to get serious. Quit daydreaming and start living!
2. Know Your Limitations.
What are your limitations? What do you lack in skill or knowledge? What is holding you back? Physical;y, mentally or emotionally?
Once you know and acknowledge your limitations, then you can develop a plan to strengthen yourself in those areas.
How could you develop personally so you will be stronger for the task at hand? What is the action you need to begin with to get the ball rolling? Ask other people, if you need to, in order to answer these questions.
3. Iron Sharpens Iron.
You need to get around the right people. But who are the right people?
Positive people. People who have accomplished what you want to accomplish.
Get around people with goals and plans, people who are going somewhere with their lives and have high aspirations. Get around eagles!
I love what Zig Ziglar says, "You can't scratch with the turkeys if you want to fly with the eagles."
Get far away from negative people if you want to soar!
People that complain and whine and moan all the time are toxic.
You don’t need them in your short life.
4. Be Healthy!
If you don’t have your health, you don’t have much, and what you do have, you won’t be able to enjoy.
You must take excellent care of your health. That means good diet and exercise.
Everybody knows they should eat better foods, work out regularly and get enough sleep. You just need to DO it!
5. Envision Success!
Visualize yourself continually taking action and being successful. If you want to improve in anything in your life, it all begins by improving your mental attitude and what you are seeing and saying.
It takes more out of you mentally and emotionally if all you do is dwell on the negative and continually talk about it.
Quit talking about and staring at the chains that are holding you captive.
See those chains coming off and you achieving success - whether it is a major goal or just cleaning the garage!
Envision it being accomplished! What does it look like? How does if feel? Really take some time before you start to do this; and keep coming back to it as you are going forward.
6. Practice Positive Self-Talk.
It is crucial that you control not only what you are thinking, but what you say to yourself and about yourself.
If it is not yet come, you are not lying to yourself. You are speaking the truth in advance.
It doesn't matter where you're coming from—all that matters is where you're going.
You don’t need to dwell on the way you or your situation is now. Speak about the way you want it to be. This season is only temporary, if you want it to be.
You may be where you are today by accident. But you can design your future!
7. Take Action.
If there is a sense of urgency, we tend to move faster. The faster you move is one thing that you can control and develop, and this will separate you from everyone else.
When you get a good idea or decide to do something, take immediate action. Do not wait for the perfect day. Get started now!
As Brian Tracy says:
“The faster you move, the better you get. And the better you get, the more you like yourself. And the more you like yourself, the higher your self-esteem is. And the higher your self-esteem is, the greater your self-discipline is. And the more you persist, then you ultimately become unstoppable.”

The Entrepreneur Mindset vs. The Employee Mindset
Which one do you have?
Many people would like to be an entrepreneur or reap what an entrepreneur creates, but the problem lies in that most people are not willing to do, risk or sacrifice what an entrepreneur is. Most do not want to step outside of their comfort zones.
Being an entrepreneur takes work and it takes having a mindset strong as steel.
Do entrepreneurs get discouraged? Absolutely! The difference is that they shake it off and keep taking action.
Often an entrepreneur needs to be able to shift his mindset and control his emotions if he hopes to continue on towards his goal.
One big difference between an entrepreneur and an employee is that an entrepreneur gets paid for what he produces and if he provides value in the marketplace. Whereas an employee gets paid for his time, and the pay is usually the same no matter if he works harder than the previous hour.
The entrepreneur understands that he must spend a lot of time in the beginning working hard and not making much money. But, he knows that later he will potentially receive huge rewards for his efforts.
The employee takes comfort knowing that if he shows up for work, he will get paid for the time he spends working.
An entrepreneur has a mindset that is opportunity driven, while the employee has a mindset that is security driven. Unfortunately, the last few years, there isn't the security here that there once was.
A true entrepreneur seeks training and mentoring and is willing to pay for it, compared to an employee who wants his employer to train him and pay for it.
The freedom you can experience is worth the effort put into it, but the big question is, are you willing to pay the price for that freedom?
“Entrepreneurship is living a few years of your life like most people won’t, so that you can spend the rest of your life like most people can’t.”
We have a choice and of course, not everyone is cut out to be an entrepreneur. That is OK, but you just need to be honest with yourself. If you are not willing to put in the sacrifice, then it is best to keep working as an employee.
If you choose to work for someone else as an employee, then don’t complain about it when you don’t like the boss, the hours, the pay or your fellow employees. You need to be content with your work no matter what it is.
Entrepreneurs live a life of risk and are continually challenged, but it is the freedom that motivates and energizes them.
Living life on your own terms is an incredible blessing, but it will cost you something. You pay a price either way, whether you are an entrepreneur or an employee. The question is, what are you willing to sow and tend and what harvest do you wish to reap?
Do you have it in you and are you willing to work hard to get what you want?
For the entrepreneur, working is a joy, not a curse. There is a lot of sweat and many tears, but if you are persistent and willing to seek mentors and be coachable, then great things can happen!

Dust Off Your Dreams
What Were Your Childhood Dreams? Where have they gone?
What are your dreams today?
Why do you get up in the morning?
Why do you do the work you do?
What do you want tomorrow to hold?
Are you willing to dream and create a better tomorrow? Or maybe you are content and there is no room for improvement?
Your dreams will remain merely dreams until you make a plan and take some action. Once you do that, it becomes a goal you are working towards.
What dreams are you willing to create a plan for?
As Wayne Dyer said, “Don’t die with the music inside of you.”
He also said, “There’s no scarcity of opportunity to make a living at what you love. There is only a scarcity of resolve to make it happen.”
Isn’t that true? All we need is resolve and then to get started. Both things that we control, unlike circumstances or other people. It sounds really simple. But as they say, what is easy to do, is easy not to do.
What is the music inside of you that needs to be played before you are gone?
This is true for making a living, relational, or any goal that you have set.
Getting started is difficult for many people, which is why there are very few truly successful people and even fewer who actually enjoy their life and what they do.
Most people are afraid to start. What if they don’t succeed?
I would answer, "You won’t be worse off than you are without starting!"
The biggest motivating factor for those who actually get started and follow through is that they know why they are doing it. They know why they need to do it and why they are making sacrifices and why they need to step outside of their comfort zone.
This “WHY” is why they will succeed. They must succeed. There are no other options.
It is this “do or die” mentality that will push you through when things get tough.
One last bit of wisdom from Mr. Dyer:
“You’ll seldom experience regret for anything that you’ve done. It is what you haven’t done that will torment you. The message, therefore, is clear. Do it! Develop an appreciation for the present moment. Seize every second of your life and savor it.”
You need to believe that things can change, that dreams can come true, that success can be yours, or nothing will help, no education, no training, no plan.
Revisit your dreams. Dust them off. Set them in motion and don't look back!
